Day After Christmas
The holidays are the best because all the sales happen the day after. What better way to get your groove on, but to do your shopping in excitement of finding your favorite things half off from the original retail price. I did my after holiday shopping bright and early.
X-mas Window Display 2015
What I enjoy most from the holidays are the beautifully arranged holiday window displays. My favorite hands down is probably in Little Tokyo's Japanese Village. I think this Christmas seems more special because Sanrio actually gave us more Winter wear than ever before. One thing we never had were "Ugly" sweaters. The white My Melody outfit in the window display reminds me of a cute outfit to wear at a ski lodge.
While I drooled over the sweaters, I finally bought what I wanted all along: JapanLA's Little Twin Stars Varsity Jacket.
Source: JapanLA's IG
I'm thrilled to get it for half off the original retail price. As soon as I touched it from the clothing rack, I could tell that this jacket would keep me super warm. The body part of the jacket is soft to touch, whereas the sleeves are made of faux leather. When I first saw this, I wasn't too keen on the the back design because I prefer white unicorns. It was only after I saw Kiki and Lala on the sleeves with mismatching colors that I found the overrall design fascinating.
I think what I like most about the jacket is that one sleeve color is different from the other. It's like a fashion color wheel of pastels. I might not always want to wear a pastel ray of clothes, but I'll make an exception for this particular jacket. In the end, I love the jacket even if I prefer my unicorns to be white lillied colored.

Sanriofied Xmas
Holidays are a very memorable and joyous occasion that spreads happiness and love. Little things like dressing up warmly in cute Sanrio themed pajamas while opening gifts on Christmas morning adds to one of the most favorite seasons of all. Christmas songs are playing in the background, while the house is bustling with energetic joy.
During this holiday season, you'll be seeing a lot of Sanrio addicts drinking egg nog or hot cocoa from their favorite Sanrio character mug. In the morning light, Christmas themed Sanrio character glass ornaments shimmer along the Christmas tree.
Underneath the tree, presents are beautifully gift wrapped in Sanrio themed wrapping with huge bows made of Hello Kitty or My Melody figures. Next to the pile of gifts lay a giant sized Hello Kitty plush with a beautiful vibrant red bow tied around the neck.
This season marks the time where Sanrio collectors can dream of a Sanriofied Christmas because years ago, no one could have imagined the possibilities.
If you can just imagine what Christmas can be like with more Sanrio holiday decor...

Halloween
It feels like it has been a long time coming with these few months flying by so fast. You would think that it was just recently that we celebrated the holidays and now, we're upon that time again.
Surprisingly this year, I have found myself feeling the holiday spirit even more so than the past couple of years. I want to celebrate and spread the joy. Whenever I hear festive music, my feet starts tapping away to the beat. It's infectious, isn't it?
Wait and see...
I'll get you into the spirit for this holiday season.
Trick or Meow
You know Halloween is coming when you see many stores decorating for the event. I'm very happy that Sanrio has decided to join in on the fun by releasing Halloween themed plushes.
My work desk kittified for Halloween
It would be even more amazing if Sanrio had gone all out for this holiday season with more Sanrio characters decor. I'm not talking about just plushes. When you decorate for a holiday, the average consumers do not depend on plushes. The options to decorate for the holidays are a wide range of different decor available to us. The exception with Sanrio is that they don't think big. Why depend on plushes to decorate? Is it a budget thing?
When I was decorating my desk, I knew these two little plushes was not enough, so I bought and added small black spiders. Now, I wish these little spiders had a Hello Kitty face in the front, along with other Sanrio buddie spider version friends. Little things like these would have made a big statement that "yeah, I'm a lover for Sanrio-- but, aren't these spiders the cutest-scary things that you've ever seen?"
Another thing that would have been different is a Halloween HK pumpkin like the one on my desk. There must be others out there with the mindset of "think outside the box" kind of deal. I just see too much dependence on plushes to decorate a specific theme. Whether it being a holiday or a "Not Married Anymore" theme party, there should be other type of decor that is fun and wild to buy from Sanrio.
Hopefully, one day Sanrio fans can decorate with more options available. I'd love to see how creative they can get without the dependence on plushes for decor.

Christmas in USA
............ or the better question to be asked: What happpened to Sanrio's Christmas focus in the States?
Looks like it's very true that Christmas is officially over for Sanrio USA. I hate to say it, but compared to Sanrio Japan-- they did a better job at making an attempt to bring Christmas to their fans. They didn't skip it for this year like Sanrio USA seemed to do.
By skipping it, I mean by actual Christmas PRODUCTS in stores. No matter how much you dress up a store in holiday cheer decor, you can't hide the fact that there are no Christmas themed products like in the past few holiday seasons. What happened is my question for the people in charge of USA headquarters.
Did they focus on HK Con and Sanrio--- oops, I mean the SuperCute Friendship Festival--- and completely forgot to set a budget or a team to focus on the Holidays for the States? Or did they think the Sanrio lovers are all tapped out of money since the Convention?
It must be nice for Japanese shoppers to walk in their local Sanrio store and be able to buy a Christmas plush of Hello Kitty or My Melody. At least Sanrio Japan did a half attempt to celebrate Christmas. Even if it was a really small selection of Christmas merchandise, the effort can be seen that they thought about the special season and it's fans.
It doesn't compare with just giving out Christmas Hello Kitty pink bags to customers here in the USA. Once you walk by the Christmas decor, you can't hide the fact that there was nothing seriously worth to purchase if you're searching for that special gift.
I was lucky that my local Sanrio store had porcelain figurines or else, I would have walked away empty-handed and in disappointment. Before Christmas came, I did stop by several Sanrio stores and only two boutique stores were selling some rare Christmas gift wrapping paper.
Another thing that is quite disappointing is the fact that you would think to find a bigger selection of very pretty Sanrio themed Christmas gift wrapping and holiday decor in a Sanrio store. There was none of that in any of the boutique stores (minus two stores). You would think both Sanrio JP and USA would be up to speed on modern times like providing Sanrio themed Christmas ribbons and fancy holiday decor, but I guess it's all about the safety net. Maybe those products are just too risky, right?
By the way, it's called Sanrio-- did you notice Sanrio USA was giving out Christmas shopping bags with only Hello Kitty on it. What do you think? You must know what I am thinking now.

Christmas Gifts
All month I have been listening to Christmas songs on my local radio station 103.5 as a recent tradition that I have taken for the last few years. By listening to these holiday songs, it has put me in a holly jolly festive mood.
As Christmas draws closer, I have been getting all the special X-mas gifts that I wanted...
Christmas Plushes
Nao Porcelain Figurines
This Christmas, I wanted something that wasn't any ordinary type of gift. I was searching for something special and these gifts above filled all my requirements.
If you were giving a plush or doll for Christmas...
The doll has to be of a large type size and cannot be small like 10 inches. Large type of gifts usually gives an impression that someone has spent a lot of money on you. It says a lot about how valuable you are to the person giving you the gift.
Another thing about the plush is that it is Christmas themed. It's a special seasonal gift that you won't be able to find during the year. Unless you are a Collector yourself or a relative of a Collector, then the average consumer wouldn't know what was selling these past several holidays.
Lastly, *THE* Gift...
It is true what they say about the more expensive the gift, the more special it is to the individual collector. Sure, it's not the same for everyone. Although, not everyone is a collector. As a collector, my collection is all about the materialistic things.
My porcelain figurines did cost me a pretty penny, but it's all worth it in my world. Yes, the money spent on all my collection won't keep me warm at night or fill my tummy-- but all that I have, I am proud of something that gives me passion in life.
I have something to care about other than my family and life. My collection tells a story about me. I can choose a special toy or figurine and be able to tell you why it's so special to me or how it has come into my collection. Stories after stories to tell because this is my life and my very special world that I get to share here on my blog.
This jolly season, I'd like to give thanks to all my readers who have followed my journey in the magical world of Sanrio. Thank you for visiting and sharing my love for all things kawaii.
XOXO,
Lynnie

Little Twin Stars Watch Flower Party Series
It's not just like last year's watch that I suggested for a Christmas gift. It's a scene that coincides with both Christmas and New Year. It's special in the way that Kiki and Lala are angels watching over you this holiday season. It's cute, but a special gift to remind a LTS fan or yourself that there is something to believe in-- faith. If you don't believe in fairytales or angels, then believe in faith. Believe in the good within us. Have faith.
Remember that all these suggestions have a limited stock, so get them while you still can.
Happy Holidays!
XOXO,
Lyn :0)
